Programs and services include college representatives from Central Texas College, Embry-Riddle Aviation University, Wayland Baptist University, and the University of Alaska Anchorage, as well as Army Personnel Testing, the Learning Resource Center, and the MOS Army Library.

Counselors at the Army Education Center assist with college admissions and explain how to combine military training and college credits to advance your career. Fort Richardson Education Center

The Learning Resource Center handles room reservations in Bldg. 7. The building has a lecture hall, computer rooms and classrooms, a science laboratory and a lecture hall. The Learning Resource Center houses the Computer Lab (Army Software) and offers DVDs, textbooks, and study guides for the GED, CLEP/DSST exams, Entrance Exams, and Army Personnel Tests. The MOS Library offers TM, FM, STP, TC and didactic DVDs. Call 907-384-0964.

Jber Army Education Center Hosts Fall Education Fair

Full service JBER library on the ground floor of the building. 7, JBER-Richardson is a treasure trove of books, audiobooks, e-books, movies, videos and electronic media, all over Wi-Fi. The computer lab has 31 CAC-capable computers, printers, scanners and local fax machines. A separate study room contains CLEP and DANTES study aids and other study aids, and a military silent reading room doubles as a study space and source for military reading. Those learning a new language can master it with the help of online databases and test materials. Special family and children's programs are scheduled throughout the year, including five weekly stories. JBER-Elmendorf Education and Training Services (ETS), 4109 Bullard Ave., helps pilots and their families achieve their personal and professional goals through education, training and testing programs.

Four community colleges offer undergraduate and graduate programs: Central Texas College, Embry-Riddle Aviation University, University of Alaska Anchorage, and Wayland Baptist University. In addition, the Office of Education offers career, assignment and Air Force Community College counseling.

Airmen on active duty must apply for Training Assistance, or TA, at the Air Force Virtual Education Center. Spouses may receive technical assistance through the Air Force Assistance Society, My Career Advancement Account (MyCAA), or the General Henry H. Arnold Grant Air Force Assistance Society. Additional information on funding, such as the GI Bill, is also available.

Base Access And Rules Of The Road

ETS serves as a hub for all military testing, including the CDC, PME, DLAB/DLPT, WAPS, AFOQT, AFCT, and JST exams. The CLEP/DANTES testing program is administered by Wayland Baptist University through its National Testing Center.

Career Counseling conducts advanced training seminars for enrolled pilots to enhance their skills and enrich their overall development. These seminars provide airmen with up-to-date information to help them make responsible career decisions. In addition, the First Term Airman Center conducts basic skills workshops to help first-term Airmen transition into the active Air Force and promotes public relations.
